Golf NSW – Illawarra Pennants

Another round of the Illawarra Pennants this Sunday with the club hosting B Pennants and the White Horse Cup. Things did not go to plan for A, C or the White Horse Cup side with losses all around. The B’s had a bye. The A Pennants team went down 3.5 : 2.5 against Port Kembla on their home course. Mark Johnston and Will Ockenden both had wins and Nathan Rees halved his match. The C Pennants once again had a number of very close matches with 4 of them going down the 18th but ultimately lost 5 : 1 against Jamberoo at Kiama. Barney and Steve Mauger both contributed a half point. To round off this week’s matches, the White Horse Cup team lost 4 : 3 at home against Jamberoo 1. There were wins for Kye Hawkins and Stephen Scott with Ian Fox and Adele Abbott each contributing a half point.
