Club Profile
The Club’s stunning Par 71, 18-hole links-style course is situated in the seaside village of Shoalhaven Heads, approximately two hours’ drive south of Sydney. The course is bounded by Coolangatta Mountain in the west and the Pacific Ocean to the east. It’s just a 10-minute drive to the historic town of Berry where cafés and specialist shops delight the tourist. A further 30-minute drive south and you are in the world renowned Jervis Bay where dolphin and whale watching charters are popular and beaches boast the whitest sands in the world.
The Club is open 7 days and has a fully stocked Pro Shop, the bistro-style Links 19 café (open for breakfast and lunch) and a licensed bar.
The Clubhouse’s large verandah, overlooking the 18th green, is a popular meeting spot for members and visitors to relax over a drink or meal.
Weekly competitions are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Visitors are always welcome for competition and social play.
Each year our club sees over 50,000 rounds of golf played, with half of that in our regular competitions. The popular Heads Hotel Summer Competition (9 Hole comp played over 18 weeks) accounts for more than 3,500 rounds of the balance.
Due to its sand base, the course holds up well during periods of protracted rain and is often one of the very few clubs in the area to remain open throughout.
Testimony to the quality of the course, Shoalhaven Heads Golf Club was ranked #128 in Australia in 2024 and has successfully hosted several major events over recent years – including the NSW Mid-Amateur Golf Championships in 2019, the NSW Senior Amateur Championships in 2021, NSW Country Championships in 2022 and the NSWVGA Matchplay Championships for the past three years.
