The A Pennants had an excellent win at St George’s Basin against Moss Vale to keep their hopes of making the semi finals alive. Lloyd Herron, Cooper Maddinson, Mark Johnston, Jack Brand and Steven Walda all had wins. Lachlan Maddinson squared his match in the 5.5 : 0.5 demolition. The C Pennants Team have obviously been missing their inspirational leader from last year, but his return to the team led to a 5 : 1 demolition of Moss Vale at Worrigee. Wins came from Garry Podmore, Steve Mauger, Jo Webber, Barney and young tyro Vincent Muller. Unfortunately, results from earlier in the season means they are only playing for pride in the last round next weekend. The B Pennants and The White Horse Cup Teams had the weekend off, but with only one round to go, their season’s are also done.

This weekend it was the turn of the B Pennants side to have the weekend off. The A Team continued their good run, but unfortunately both the C Pennants and White Horse Cup Teams were defeated. Not even the arrival of Barney back from the States first thing this morning could inspire the C Team !!

The A Pennants defeated Kiama at The Vale 4 : 2.  There were wins for Lloyd Herron, Jack Brand and  Mark Johnston. Nathan Rees and Lachlan Maddinson squared their matches.

The C Pennants Team unfortunately, despite the arrival of their mentor back on Australian soil went down in a close one 2.5 : 3.5 against Worrigee at the  Links Shell Cove. Wins came from Garry Podmore  and Steve Mauger. Alex Kershaw halved his match.

The White Horse Cup Team travelled to Jamberoo but unfortunately got beaten 2 : 5 by Kiama. Daniel Troy and Kyle Hawkins contributed the two points.

The White Horse Cup Team had the bye this weekend and there were mixed results for the other three teams.

The Club hosted the A Pennants round this morning and our boys took full advantage of playing at home. The team won comfortably against St Georges Basin 5 : 1. There were wins for Lloyd Herron, Jack Brand, Mark Johnston, Nathan Rees and Steve Walda. Will Okenden squared his match.

The B Pennants unfortunately came up empty handed again in a loss to Moss Vale at Worrigee. The team lost 4 : 2 with only Adrian Wedd and Justin Mangan registering points.

The C Pennants Team showed some improvement this week after a pep talk from Barney sitting behind the 9th Green at the Arnold Palmer International in Bay Hill Florida !!! They were held to a 3 : 3 tie against Links Shell Cove at Gerringong. Wins came from Garry Podmore and Vincent Muller with Jo Webber and Steve Mauger halving their matches.

Congratulations to Jamie Davidson, for a hole in one at the 8th on Saturday 8 March 25. Jamie also took out the Golden Circle Jackpot of $739 which should go a way towards paying his bar tab !!!

Congratulations to Sean Twomey, visiting from Kiama Golf Club, for a hole in one at the 15th on Wednesday 5 March 25.

All Pennants Teams and the White Horse Cup Team were again in action this weekend but unfortunately there was only a slight improvement in the results with only the A Pennants coming away with a point in a tied match with The Grange at Links Shell Cove. In that match there were wins for Cooper Maddinson, Mark Johnston and Nathan Rees.

The B Pennants came up empty handed again in a loss to Jamberoo, also at the Links Shell Cove. The team lost 4 : 2 with wins for Lee Maddinson and Justin Mangan.

In Barney’s absence, the C Pennants didn’t fare any better, losing 5 : 1 against Kiama at Wollongong. Only Garry Podmore was able to contribute a point.

Finally the White Horse Cup Team went down 2.5 : 4.5 against Sussex Inlet 1 at Gerringong. Daniel Troy and Ian Fox both had wins with Alan Hollis halving his match.
