The Golf NSW Masters Pennant Round 4 took place on a pretty miserable Winter’s day with plenty of rain around. The team travelled to Port Kembla to take on the guys from The Grange.
In a critical match that the team had to win to have a chance of making it to the semi-finals, the guys put in a great performance, winning the match 6 : 2 maintaining 2nd place with a very good percentage advantage over Port Kembla who play The Vale next Sunday when our guys have the bye.
Today Bill Moss did not fancy getting too wet and had a huge 9 & 7 win in his match. There were also strong wins for Neil Hartley, Lee Maddinson, Will Ockenden, Ian Asbury and Simon Keith with no matches going past 17. Unfortunately Captain Jack Brand and John McFarlane couldn’t sustain the rage and were defeated in their matches.
Next week we host the other teams at The Heads but it is a bye round for us. All eyes will be on the Port Kembla vs The Vale match.
